Commissioned by the Department of Rehabilitation of China Disabled Persons’ Federation, the Social Service Guide Center of China Disabled Persons’ Federation successfully hosted 2018 Nationwide Cadre Training Course on Navigation, Mobility, and Adaption Training for the Blind in Pengzhou, Sichuan from 21st to 25th of May, 2018. Those attending the training included leaders and business cadres from 31 provinces (municipalities and autonomous regions) including Beijing and Tianjin as well as the Department of Rehabilitation of Heilongjiang Farms and Land Reclamation Administration and Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps. Liu Yuchi, Executive Deputy Director of the Social Service Guide Center of China Disabled Persons’ Federation, Ma Jun, Party Member and Vice President of Sichuan Disabled Persons’ Federation and Gong Yaming, Standing Committee Member and Organization Director of the Municipal Party Committee attended the opening ceremony.
The training course closely followed the requirements for the training of professionals for the Disabled Persons’ Federation system nationwide with a focus on updating the trainees’ philosophy of rehabilitation and improving their abilities in rehabilitation. The trainers allowed the trainees to learn the core contents of different services for the blind at an in-depth level through theoretical lectures, practices and demonstrations, panel discussions, site visits and phased examinations.
GZTech Group was invited to attend the seminar and training meeting session on“Accessibility of the Life and Information of the Blind” of the training course. Our technical expert conducted in-depth exchanges with the attending leaders and cadre trainees with the R&D philosophy of “Technology changes the status quo” through the philosophy of technical development, the present industrial status at home and abroad and demonstrations of advanced intelligent travel ancillary product – “Guide Dog”, the smart travel tool for the blind developed based by GZTech with unique 3 dimensional gesture interactive technology by FlyingCodes opened the eyes of the leader trainees, who truly felt the wave of shock brought by technology.
The results of the anonymous satisfaction questionnaire show that: the training is commonly recognized by the leader trainees from all over the country, who think that with a focused theme, precise organization, diversified contents and meticulous teaching, the training has brought a sense of modern technology while being quite down to earth. They generally agree they have learned a lot from the training and got the answers to many questions in their previous work, and that they will apply what they have learned into practice and actively innovate in service modes to satisfy all the rehabilitation service needs of the blind.
During March 25-29, 2018, at the invitation of chairman Mr. Zhou of XiCi (Chengdu) Rehabilitation Equipment Group, Mr. Ardy Lee, Managing Director of GZTech Group, made a visit to Sichuan province with the hope of revitalizing charity activities by utilizing the latest technologies, thus improving the life quality of the disabled group.
During his visit, Mr. Lee and his team visited multiple disabled people’s organizations including Deyang School for the Blind and Chengdu Special Education School and exchanged ideas with professionals from all trades about the role of technologies in disabled people’s life. He also introduced the latest technologies and charitable ideas into Sichuan province.
After days of discussions and exchanges, a strategic partnership was forged between GZTech Group and XiCi (Chengdu) Rehabilitation Equipment Group, representing a stride in GZTech Group’s cause of improving the life of disabled people.

On March 28, 2018, a meeting was held by the Qingyang District Disabled Persons’ Federation (the Federation) to evaluate the bidders for procurement of rehabilitation equipment and assistive devices for the rehabilitation of disabled people in Qingyang District as well as reveal successful bidders. The meeting was attended by leaders from the Qingyang District government, Chengdu Disabled Persons’ Federation, and municipal welfare fund organizations.
At the invitation of the Qingyang District Disabled Persons’ Federation, the smart “Guide Dog” platform team attended the evaluation meeting and gave presentations to government leaders at each level and participants from all walks of life. As a major shortlisted project, “Guide Dog” platform has won wide recognition among government leaders of Qingyang District and various social organizations in Chengdu for its unique functions and platform-based smart service operation. It successfully won the bid on the procurement contract for assistive devices for disabled people, which marks GZTech Group’s expansion into a new territory.

March signals the time when spring awakes and brings everything back to life. This March brings new hope to the students in Chengdu Special Education School – a school for kids who have special needs in Chengdu, as they run freely and joyfully inside and outside the school with the aid of alerting indicators. Their vitality, youthfulness, and strength touched and inspired each one of us. We are so proud of you, kids!
In an unprecedented class, children carefully listened to the instruction given by professional instructors and explored the new devices with curiosity. They were overjoyed to find that these devices on their hands can help them “see” (scan) the road and the life ahead. Indeed, March is a season for sowing seeds of hope. The smart “Guide Dog” device adopts world-leading technologies and is designed to assist the blind people to walk more freely and safely. Although it took the whole GZTech Group team more than 200 days and nights to develop the device, the hope it brought to these children makes it all worthwhile.
At the invitation of Lei Ying, an expert in blind people’s traveling safety, the smart “Guide Dog” assistive device team gave a pre-production demo and instructional trial class for the blind students in the Chengdu Special Education School. The School highly appraised GZTech Group’s initiative of introducing highly advanced technologies into the life of the blind group and reached a preliminary cooperative agreement on teaching and application with GZTech Group. The School hopes that GZTech Group could develop assistive products designed for teaching process, allowing the blind students to travel safely and live a better life. It is believed that this could be the best way to prepare these vulnerable disabled kids for a brighter future.
In recent years, with the great concern of the CPC and the government, as well as the support of people with loving care from all walks of life, Sichuan’s charity undertaking has been developing rapidly. More and more social charity organizations are emerging, social services have become more and more professional, public service networks in communities have been improving constantly, and charity-participating subjects and ways are getting more and more diversified.
During the period from November 7 to 10, 2017, invited by Sichuan Nuclear Industry Disabled Persons Federation, a group of people led by Mr. Lee Ting Yan, Managing Director of GZTech Group went to Sichuan province to showcase and discuss on implementation and application of the group’s new technological products in the life of disabled people. Sichuan Nuclear Industry Disabled Persons Federation as the host built a platform for exchange and dialogue between the government and enterprises to diagnose charity undertaking in West China, explore a charity innovation road, tap the potential of folk charity and propel charity undertaking of West China.

Gao Shengqing, a leading magnate of Chinese disabled persons undertaking and the director general of the Nuclear Industry Disabled Persons Federation attended this meeting in his busy schedule, who highly appraised and valued the innovations brought by technologies, and directed to deploy them in various places as soon and practical as possible. Blind people have experienced the new blind navigation technology assisting them in their outing on the site, and they highly recognized it as being fit and comfortable.
Through this trip in Sichuan, the company accorded with several disabled persons’ federations and agencies of prefecture, municipal and district levels including the Nuclear Industry Disabled Persons Federation, Qingyang District Disabled Persons Federation, Xindu Disabled Persons Federation in terms of cooperation and technical deployment, and they decided to build quite a few demonstration areas based on new technologies in 2018 to serve disabled people and solve the problems in charity management of the province. The charity need in Sichuan has been connected to resources effectively, the distance between charity projects and the public has been drawn nearer, and it will play a key role in enabling implementation of advanced technologies and the ideas of charity in Sichuan as soon as possible.

Sichuan Federation of Nuclear Industry Disabled Persons (SCCJR) was the only disabled person association direct organized by Mr. Deng Pufang – the founder and former director of the China Disabled Persons’ Federation. Approved by the Ministry of Nuclear Industry, on April 16, 1993, the Sichuan Provincial China Disabled Persons’ Federation (CDPF) formally approved the establishment of SCCJR. SCCJR is the China Disabled Persons Association authorized one of the two civil society organizations.
